Join the Alumni Session 2024!

We are happy to announce another World Youth Choir session in 2024 which will be an alumni session in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, at the inaugural HarbourVOICES! International Festival of Collective Singing Traditions. This festival is dedicated to celebrating the world's rich tapestry of musical traditions and cultures, emphasizing the contribution of singing communities that have historically been less represented.

The dates of the session will be from 28 June (arrival day) to 5 July (departure day).

The World Youth Choir, with 32 alumni singers and conductor Cecilia Rydinger, will bring a musical program encompassing celebrated classical choral works as well as musical traditions from Scandinavian and Canadian Indigenous contexts. This session is open to all World Youth Choir alumni, including singers who were selected for the 2020 session but are now over the age limit for the regular summer session in 2024. Age limit is 35.

If you are an WYC alumni up to 35, you should have received an email with all the information how to apply. If you didn't receive it and you are interested to apply for this session, please contact
